Documentation Sciences Foundation

Training and Research

1. To give classroom training, or through the Internet, to all members of society and institutions to access and use the information.

2. To create an information bank and bibliography relevant to the aim of the Foundation.

3. To conduct and develop researches on its own or under contract with third parties.

4. To grant scholarships and subsidies for training, as well as for research works related to the aim of the Foundation.

5. To certify and accredit professional and institutional quality, both national and international, in the use of Documentation Sciences.

Communication

1. To organise and participate in events (seminars, conferences, expeditions, congresses, expositions, concerts and cultural acts) including those through the Internet or teleconference, with topics that revolve around questions relevant for the Foundation.

2. To make teaching materials for courses, studies, events and other educational activities that can be sold, loaned or transferred to others.

3. To edit and popularise printed and audiovisual materials, as well as research projects, that emanate formative actions and events.

4. To publicise the history, inheritance and culture of Extremadura and its relationship with Iberoamerica.

Financing and Cooperation

1. To assists persons and institutions, public and private, in procuring funds from regional, national and international programs that allow the execution of projects.

2. To procure subsidies and patronage support that allow the execution of the Foundation’s activities.

3. To participate and create national and international forum for the exchange of experiences and knowledge in the use of information as a tool for literacy and sustainable development.

4. To spearhead initiatives to reach company and university professionals.
