The National Archives Consortium's mission is to compete for grants enabling to conduct research, development and innovation projects (R+D+i) in the national archives.
Presentation
The General Archive of the Nation of El Salvador was created by legislative decree num. 161 of date on October 4 1948, published in the official diary num. 224, volume 145 of date 14 of the same month and year. It was created as dependence of the Department of Culture of that epoch, and since June 26 2009 It become part of the Secretariat of Culture assigned to the Presidency of the Republic.
Its principal mission is to rescue and protect the historical documentary heritage using for that archiving criterias which support the documentary investigation, making fulfill the essential purposes contemplated.
