The National Archives Consortium's mission is to compete for grants enabling to conduct research, development and innovation projects (R+D+i) in the national archives.
Introduction
The Consortium is a support tool for international technological and documentary cooperation that improves the archival sectors.
This initiative is included in the International Project "Information for Citizen Change" (InfoCC), launched by the Documentation Sciences Foundation and based on the fact that the information contained in the documents (in whatever medium) generates an awareness in people that allows them to communicate a change in their social and personal quality of life, being the technology and the Internet a medium for this.
The Consortium promotes the participation of the national archives, advising on the formulation of the initial project proposal, searching for partners, developing the overall project profile, and accessing to funding sources.
The projects submitted by the Consortium are generated from the bottom up, ie, participants devise and decide their project and the terms for fulfillment.
