Mission
Ensuring access to information with equity for strengthen the informational capacities of citizens and politicians / legislators to enable them to develop and promote democratic values and quality of life.
Objectives
The InfoCC project aims fulfilling its mission to work on three levels of objectives:
Political level: Raising the conscience of politicians / legislators that access and use of public / private information by part of citizens is essential for the development of democracy and the welfare state.
Professional level: Articulating a global multidisciplinary network of members to exchange ideas, research, experiences, best practices, ... in an open and tolerant.
Citizen level: Socializing the information as a key to generate a participatory democracy with justice and equity issued by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights; as well as on national growth, where information is the fuel of the Research, Development and Innovation (RDI).
Articulation
The InfoCC project is structured in National Axes (vertical) and Thematic Axes (horizontal).
National axes: One for each country with registered members. Their task is to disseminate the InfoCC project objectives at national level, and to define actions of Thematic axes in the country.
Thematic axes: Encompassing members specializing in the selected areas. Their task is to define and implement specific actions to the realities and needs of the content of the topic.
Members invited
The project welcomes individuals and institutions around the world active in issues of Information and Knowledge Society. The only requirement for membership is the commitment to engage in actions and activities.
Individuals (Experts): Represent themselves and contribute with their knowledge, experiences and ideas on issues of work identified.
Institutional: Represent the values and ideals of their institution through a contact person.
Beneficiaries
Citizenship and especially the most disadvantaged in the use and access to information.
Professional members of the InfoCC project.
The state in its various levels as the biggest emitter and receiver of information of public interest.
