Mission - Objectives
INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS ON INFORMATION AND HUMAN RIGHTS
What is the Congress’ mission?
Highlight the importance of law and access to Information and use of the Information and Communication Technologies for advocacy of all Human Rights.
What are the Congress’ objectives?
1- To stimulate collaboration and the exchange of ideas among multidisciplinary professionals throughout the world who are interested in public information and their contribution to the defense and promotion of Human Rights.
2- To identify and encourage best practices and success stories in education, carried out worldwide, which are using the Information Technologies for Human Rights.
3- To Increase the inclusive participation of different actors involved in the defense and promotion of Human Rights in the discussion, formulation, development and monitoring - supported by the Information Technologies - in actions related to health, social services, children, social inclusion, unemployment, education, environment, women ... among others.
4- To dissseminate the knowledge and contributions gleened during the Forum, as well as to open future topics for Research, Development and Innovation (R&D+i).
5- To identify the role of the Information Technologies to promote compliance, enforcement and enforceability of Human Rights.
6- To count with the most important persons in the Information Technologies and Human Rights areas.
7- Enhance network InfoCC, from which there will be a document / guide that provides theoretical and practical elements for organizations and individuals who work in projects on Information and Human Rights. Also, to advise on issues that they need.
8- To publish the Proceedings of the interventions and findings of the International Congress.
