Methodology
INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS ON INFORMATION AND HUMAN RIGHTS
What methodology will be used for the event?
In collaboration with entities that carry out their work in various disciplines, participants will analyze the current situation of access to information through Information technologies for the protection and promotion of Human Rights.
In summary, the objective is to disseminate and exchange experiences, projects and best practices that seek to use the Information for Development and Promotion of Human Rights.
ONLINE DEBATES
The online debates will start a month before the physical event, through social networks (Facebook and Twitter), which will discuss the different themes of the Congress on three levels: governments and public institutions; professionals (education, documentation, information Communication); and civil society.
Each discussion will be coordinated and moderated by a collaborator institution, which will present the conclusions in Santiago de Compostela on 7-8 December of 2010.
PHYSICAL EVENT
On the other hand, after completing the online debates, the International Congress will be held during two-day face-to-face, divided into three sections:
- Conferences.
- Plenary sessions.
- Workshops.
When and where will the Forum be held?
The online debates will be held in November 2010 using the technology of Facebook and Twitter.
The presential event will be held in Santiago de Compostela city (A Coruña - Spain), 7 and 8 December 2010. The event is within the framework of Forum 2010 Compostela, under the auspices of the United Nations and UNESCO at the time of the 2010 Jacobean Jubilee Year.
